welcome

Everyone has a story. What's yours?

We are gathering stories. "Why?", you ask... well, here's the deal. The aim is to get your stories together and publish your stories in a book (or books!!) and then the entire profits from the sales of the book(s) will go to charity. This year, the main beneficiary will be the homeless charity The Simon Community, but the plan is to raise funds and awareness for charities of your choice... See "how it works".

So anyway, this is just early days. You can post your writings or videos on whatever topic you wish, see what other people have to say for themselves, and get discussions and groups going to share ideas. See the categories listed on the right here, and you can suggest your own subcategories »

Here's where it becomes really special though - in writing about the world around us, it can bring like-minded people together. It could be bigger than the Internet. It could be the Internet and so much more. It could bridge the gaps between online and offline, and between people and communities.

But it will only be what you make of it, so its success depends on you. We have so many ideas for this that our heads are about to explode. So we need you to lighten the load by chipping in and getting involved. All we need right now from you are your stories and/or your ideas.

If your lifetime lasts for 80 years, you have two and a half billion seconds. Will you take one of your seconds to tell a story that could make a difference to someone else?

A man tells his stories so many times he becomes the stories. They live on after him. And in that way, he becomes immortal.

- a quote from the film "Big Fish"
